Atty. Alvin Liao Alburo, LL.M.

Alvin Liao Alburo is an Assistant Professor 1 at the School of Labor and Industrial Relations of the University of the Philippines Diliman. He is the Managing Partner of Alburo Alburo and Associates Law Offices, a law firm specializing in labor and employment, corporate, and commercial law. His areas of practice include labor relations, collective bargaining negotiations, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and corporate rehabilitation, general corporate advisory services, and wills and probate.

He likewise serves as Chairman and President of Yangtze Business Solutions Corporation.

Before entering academia, Atty. Alburo served as a member of the Technical Working Group of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines. He also headed the Human Resource and Legal Services Department of Crown Asia Chemicals Corporation, a publicly listed company. Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Manager in the Legal Department of Federal Land, Inc., then part of the Metrobank Group and now under GT Capital Holdings.

Atty. Alburo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of the Philippines Los Baños, his Bachelor of Laws from Arellano University School of Law, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from San Beda University Graduate School of Law.
